When To Repair and When To Replace Windows & Gutters

There is nothing sexy about repairing or replacing windows and gutters but it’s part of home ownership nonetheless. When it comes to windows, weather stripping and calking can solve most draft and energy-efficiency problems. But, it is time to replace windows that have decaying or rotting casings, or windows that don’t properly open and close. It goes without saying that cracked and broken window glass will need to be replaced. When it comes to gutters, many leak issues can be fixed with a good adhesive. But a gutter that has been physically damaged by a storm or other event should be replaced.
